RN-DIRECTOR - WOUND CARE SVC

Serves as the director for the Wound Care Services at Beebe Healthcare.   Assumes 24-hour accountability for excellence in clinical practice of patient care. Utilizes patient care process, management theory, and organizational skills in accomplishing goals. Provides administrative direction to the development of the Patient Care and Medical Center Management team. Requirements:

• Five years progressive management experience in the area of patient care.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities, including demonstrated emotional maturity and stability.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Clinical Practice - Maintains Clinical Excellence in Wound Care.
• Clinical Practice - Maintains Clinical Competence in Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment of non-life threatening wound, ostomy, and related skin conditions for inpatients and/or outpatients when appropriate.
• Education - Maintains a focus on continuous improvement of nursing practice through integration of knowledge about skin and wound care.
• Professional Liaison / Spokesperson for Wound Care - Asserts clinical and professional leadership in the practice setting and the institution.
• Collaboration: Establishes and Maintains Interdisciplinary Relationships to Enhance Patient Outcomes.

Credentials - Essential:

• Certified in Wound/Ostomy Care (WOCN)
• BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
• RN - Registered Nurse

Competencies and Skill - Essential:

• Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
• Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
• Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
• Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
• Experience With Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Etc.

Education - Essential:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
