In a recent micro survey hosted by 3S Consulting Group and featured within the WOC Skin Health Weekly® digital publication, approximately 82% of the 233 respondents reported that they currently manage highly exuding fistulas in their clinical practice.
Of those that currently manage highly exuding fistulas in their clinical practice, 91% manage enterocutaneous fistulas most often.
Of those that manage enterocutaneous fistulas most often, 49% utilize pouching systems to manage high levels of exudate. Combination therapy of pouching and suction was also frequently reported as a method for the management of highly exuding enterocutaneous fistulas.
